Times are especially challenging due to COVID-19, and the McCandless family is eager to spread holiday cheer. Thanksgiving is approaching, and sharing food is a part of our culture. There is always something for which to be thankful, and we want to brighten this time of the year by spreading goodwill throughout the Mercer community and helping feed families who are less fortunate. Our dealerships provide a central location to collect food items that we will donate to Immaculate Heart of Mary’s Sharing Shed. The Immaculate Heart of Mary church has been a part of our Mercer community for over five decades. This prayer establishment is on a mission to stock its Sharing Shed for Thanksgiving and donate to families unable to afford a plentiful meal. McCandless Ford Mercer is happy to support this local initiative and provide a helping hand to those in need with our Deals and Meals donation drive. Now through the end of November, our staff welcomes all Mercer residents and those in the surrounding communities to stop by our dealership and participate in our Making Deals and Meals In Mercer donation drive. We stock the bed of one of our Ford pickups with non-perishable food items leading up to Thanksgiving Day. We will be making an initial drop to Immaculate Heart of Mary on November 20 to prepare for the holiday, but will continue accepting donations until the end of the month.
