No one gets more excited than we do when spring rolls around. And our small city of Mercer, PA knows how to celebrate this time of year with plenty of fun things to do for the whole family. So pack up the kids and head out to one of the following spring activities.

3 Spring Activities You Can Drive to Near Mercer, PA

1. Earth Day Festival

Located just a few miles outside of town, this festival celebrates environmental stewardship with a wide range of events, including educational workshops, activities for the little ones, live entertainment, and vendors offering delicious food. This free event will be held from noon to 5 p.m. on Saturday, April 22 at 3580 Innovation Way in Hermitage.

2. Nova Destinations Annual Egg Hunt

The kids and adults alike will think they’re in heaven in not one, but two weekends of egg hunting fun on Saturday, April 8 and Saturday, April 15. The youngest ones up to age 3 will hunt for eggs from 11 a..m. to 11:30 a.m.; kids ages 4 to 6 will hunt from 11:30 a.m. to noon; and kids 7 to 9 will egg hunt from noon to 12:30 p.m., all at no cost. The big kids’ egg hunt is for ages 10 to 16 and will be held from 12:30 to 1 p.m. at $5 a person.

Those ages 21 and up will enjoy a scavenger egg hunt from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. Search for eggs filled with prizes while stopping along the way for a Jello shot or two. You can even bring your own beverage with you. The cost is $10 per person. The fun-filled egg hunt will be held at 1474 State Rt. 208 in Pulaski. Please drink responsibly and in moderation and do not drink and drive.

3. 17th Annual National Button Accordion Festival

You are the star of the show at this fun-packed festival, located at 391 South Dock St. in Sharon. Bring your accordion and join your neighbors for a weekend of music, dancing, and partying. The event will be held on Friday, May 26 from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. with an admission fee of $8; Saturday, May 27 from noon to 10 p.m. with a $10 admission fee; and Sunday, May 28 from noon to 9 pm. for a $10 fee.
